Dr. Janet Fisher, a 1977 graduate of Texas A&M , previously had her own practice for 25 years, and practiced in emergency medicine for several years. She decided to join ABC Animal and Bird Clinic in 2006 to expand her horizons to include avian and exotic medicine.
Dr. Fisher bred, obedience trained and showed Dobermans for 20 years, producing several champions during that time. Dr. Fisher is a previous board member of Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, and was the past president of HCVMF. She is a member of TVMA, AAV, HCVMA, AFA, AVMA and the Fort Bend Optimist Club. She is also a neighborhood representative for her neighborhood.
She enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice especially internal medicine, surgery and avian medicine. She enjoys gardening, dancing and spoiling her pets. She lives with her two cats (Jinx and Briggs), three Sun Conures (Pretzel, Frito and Twix), and two Amazon parrots (Sprite and Fresca). She is also an avid gardner with aspirations of being a master gardener.
