Dr Stephen Fronefield is a truly gifted veterinarian. I have had pets all my life and have worked with many vets; Dr Fronefield is the most knowledgeable, meticulous, competent, skilled, and compassionate vet I have ever worked with. He is what veterinarian medicine is all about, what the great philosopher and physician, Albert Schweitzer, talked about in his “Prayer for Animals,” and I would recommend him to anyone seeking the skills of the very best veterinarian/surgeon they can find. His skills as a surgeon are unsurpassed and, in that regard, I would also put him in the realm of a true artist. His staff are also first-rate; always friendly, professional, extremely helpful and caring.

Brought our bird in today because she became very ill. The doctor and staff were super sweet and informative! They spent 3 hours with our sweet girl running tests and developing the perfect care plan so we can nurse her back to health! Great staff. This is one of the best places for birds and Small mammals like chinchillas, rabbits, ferrets, and guineas. For small pets, the office fees are very reasonable. Been trading here for 10+ years. All the doctors are good.

I had a sick chicken and 4 other vets I called wouldn’t treat her. She was well cared for and has made a full recovery. They even called twice over the next few days to check on her recovery. I will use them again in the future.

We first started coming to ABC Animal and Bird Clinic when our 15-year-old dog had a stroke, and they were extremely accommodating despite it being a Saturday and only having one vet on duty; the front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and even offered to get me some water and watch my dog until the appointment time, as I was not in the best shape after watching my sweet dog collapse and start yelping!

They do follow-up calls after each appointment to check on your dog, and make sure they aren’t too stressed/you don’t have further concerns after the appointment, which really made me feel that they care about their patients past simply getting them in and out.

A few months later his bad days finally became more than the good ones and I want to emphasize ABC’s sensitivity and understanding during the process of putting a dearly loved boy to sleep; the front office staff, nurse, and veterinarian were all as helpful as could be, and they had signs in the waiting area asking other clients to be quieter if possible. This unasked-for detail in attention to our needs, as well as the needs of our dog, has shown up in every interaction we’ve had with the clinic and I highly recommend them. I wish we had found the clinic earlier in our dog’s life because they are overall excellent service.
