Beth has been in veterinary medicine for over 20 years and has known Dr. Fronefield for even longer! She has held a variety of positions throughout the clinic over the years including in the kennel, as a Veterinary Assistant and, for the majority of the time, as a Client Care Specialist. We are now proud to call her our Practice Manager. She is passionate about providing the highest quality of patient care while delivering exceptional client service and education. She has special interests in feline medicine, end of life care, and keeping her fantastic team happy!
Beth has too many cats! All of them are rescues. She currently has 6 under her care, 7 if you include Roofus, who is in a permanent foster home. There’s Waffles, Torchy (Bad Baby), Minou (she’s a total daddy’s girl!), Sunny, Raggedy Andy (a heartworm positive stray recently diagnosed as diabetic), and Bowie (a Harvey Foster)!
Outside of work Beth enjoys art projects, cooking, traveling, and listening to live music – usually performed by her husband.
Lead Client Care Specialist
After working with attorneys for years, Lynnette decided she would rather work with animals. She has been in veterinary medicine for four years and a part of the ABC family for almost a year! Lynnette loves helping clients with the joy of a new life and the sadness of a life ending. She feels lucky to be a part of the amazing relationships humans share with their animals. She has always had a soft spot for Pitbulls and has two of her own, Isabella and Oats. Outside of work, Lynnette runs a soup kitchen for all the neighborhood strays. Her hobbies include riding her Harley, enjoying good food, and time with friends.
Jose Perez, LVT
Lead Veterinary Technician
Jose has been with us for about 5 years. He loves that every day at ABC is different. There are always new cases and new patients from 6-gram turtles to 190-pound Great Danes!
Jose has three pets, Logan a 9-year-old Lab mix who loves to eat, sleep, poop and not in that specific order. Marly a 7-year-old Lab/Shiba mix, she loves to eat, especially dads dinner! Qizmo, a 12-year-old Peek-a-Poo who sleeps all day (25hr/ 8 days a week) Warning: Never get him wet and never feed him after midnight!
Jose’s hobbies include watching sports – anything Huston! Watching Marvel and Star Wars movies and taking long walks on the beach with his significant other and his dogs.
Summer started her career in veterinary medicine with us 13 years ago. She loves getting to know and form relationships with people and their pets. She has a Pacman Frog named Goblin. Outside of work, she enjoys writing, reading, and video games.
Jessica is another of our long-term technicians. She is our busy little bee, always gliding one from patient to the next with a calm grace that the clients and patients appreciate. She’s been with us for about 12 years. Her professional interests include preventative care and surgery (she thinks it is pretty awesome all of the things that we are able to do here for our pets). Outside of ABC she loves being a Mom, gardening, trying different foods and anything Disney World related. Her family at home includes Ziggy (Pitbull), Lila (Jack-Russell Terrier), Una (Shih – Tzu), Atticus (Domestic Medium Hair), Suey, Rosie, Bindy, Bourke (Parakeets) and Zephyr (Indian Ring-Neck). She would like to one day become a nurse.

Maria has been with us for about 9 years. She is one of our highly skilled technicians who has a wide variety of experience from different areas of animal medicine. Her professional interests include emergency and critical care, exotic animal medicine and attending various continuing education opportunities. She enjoys skydiving, paintball, running, going to museums and Science. At home, she has a chihuahua named Calista, a black cat named Dahlia, another black cat named Oreo, a third black cat named Batman :), and Nubs an African Grey with no legs. Maria is working toward being a well-versed technician in all areas of veterinary medicine.

Jodi Berls, LVT
Jodi has been with ABC for 7 and a half years. She loves helping a wide variety of types of animals, especially birds. She says it is a great feeling to see them leave in better health than when they arrived.
Jodi has 4 parrots, 1 cat, and a chameleon. Her birds are the reason she changed careers to work in veterinary medicine. Outside of work she enjoys gardening and reading mystery novels.

Ruth has been with us for over 6 years. Ruth is soft-spoken and sweet, eager to help however she can. Her professional interests are reptiles (especially Iguanas), and learning about the different illnesses that can affect our pets. She also enjoys music, concerts, and riding roller coasters. She shares her home with Charlie Chaplin, a Golden Retriever, and Dante, a Bearded Dragon.
Sarah Plasencia - Aguilar
Sarah has been in veterinary medicine for 6+ years and has been with us for 3 of them. She loves being able to help animals in need, helping them heal, and seeing them go home as healthy as can be. Knowing that she was able to help make a difference in a pet’s and client’s life makes her job that much better. She wouldn’t trade it for the world!
All of Sarah’s pets are rescues – they’re the best kind! She has 4 dogs, Leo a 5-year-old long-haired Chihuahua, Bailey a 5-year-old Terrier mix, Izzy a 6-year-old Basset Hound, and Maya a 10-month-old German Shepard. Sarah also has three 6-year-old cats named Bret, Kovu, and Oliver. Rounding out Sarah’s animals are Venus, a 20-year-old African parrot, and Emerald, a 2-year-old Chameleon.
Outside of work, Sarah loves to travel, meet new people, go to music festivals, and save animals in need! She also enjoys spending time with her husband and 10-month-old son.
Gaby Canelo, LVT
Gaby has been with us for almost a year and loves being able to make a difference. To us, our pets are a small part of our entire world, but to them, we are their entire world. Being able to make their lives better
Gaby currently has 2 dogs and 3 goldfish. “Coco” her teacup chihuahua and “Kylie” hey beautiful “ginger” Boston Terrier.
Outside of work, Gaby spends time taking care of and helping her family. When she has down time, she loves to watch/listen to musicals, read fantasy books, do puzzles, and learn more about her career path.
Audrey recently started at ABC but has been working in veterinary medicine for 10 years. She loves meeting and caring for so many animals and the like-minded individuals who consider them family.
She has a zoo at home! Audrey’s pets include Ryder the Beagle, Lily the Dachshund, Junebug and Doodlebug, her cats that she bottle raised, Olive and Maple the Chinchillas, Clover the Alexandrine, Sage the mustache Parakeet, Willow the Nanday Conure, Ash the Blue Crown Conure, Bonsai the Solomon Island Eclectus, Chubs the Pacman Frog, a colony of Red-Eyed Tree Frogs, Boss Hogg the Tiger Salamander, Gold Dust Day Geckos, and numerous Dart Frog species that she and her husband breed.
Her zoo is her life! She also enjoys going to reptile conventions (she is a member of Houston Frogs), gaming, fishing, and camping.

Ann has been with ABC for over a year and has been veterinary medicine for about 6 years! Ann’s favorite thing about her job is all of the adorable clients! She has 5 cats, a dog, some hamsters, and a Betta fish. Outside of work Ann enjoys playing outside with her daughter Alice. Binge watching shows and loves loves loves cooking! (But not baking unless she wants to blow something up!)

Jo has been in veterinary medicine for 8 years and started with us in May 2018. She loves being an advocate for clients and helping to meet their needs, as well as the needs of their pets, through expert communication with the medical staff.
Jo has a Vizsla/Pitbull Terrier mix named LaVeau. LaVeau was born in February 2018 and was found in a box, and Jo adopted her shortly after. She has a lot of energy she uses to play with her big brother,

Ashleigh has been with us for 5 months but has been in veterinary medicine for almost 5 years. She loves being able to create strong bonds with clients and their babies.
She has 2 loving dogs, Kayla a 3-year-old black pit mix and CiCi an 11-year-old Morkie.
Outside of work, Ashleigh likes taking her girls Savannah and Sienna out to do fun activities, including lots of zoo trips! She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Theresa has worked in veterinary clinics for over 25 years and has been with ABC for 22 years. She loves being with the dogs and cats and doing what she can to help make their lives as best as she can.
Theresa has a Chihuahua named Pee Wee who is 18 years old and a cat named Pocket. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, crafts, and plants.

Damasio started in veterinary medicine almost 7 years ago with ABC. He loves interacting with pets and people and learning something new every time he comes to work.
Damasio has two special friends, loyal cats Mr. Kitty (Eggplant) who is 6 and half years old and Stranger who is 2 and a half years old.
Outside of work, Damasio enjoys fatherhood, family life, church, and music.
Valentina has been with us for over 3 years now. She loves getting to meet all kinds of animals and gaining experience for a future career as a veterinarian.
Valentina has three pets. Luna was rescued from a shelter at 5 months and is now 13 years old. Ruby was adopted from ABC and was surrendered to the clinic due to her owners not being able to pay for surgery on her broken leg. Rocco was rescued off the streets after the Memorial Day flood 2-3 years ago.
Outside of work, Valentina enjoys baking and going on nature walks. She is also currently studying to be a veterinarian!
Sydney started her veterinary medicine career almost 2 and a half years ago with us. The part of her job she loves the most is being around all the animals.
She has a Tabby cat named Tiger who is 11 or 12 years old. Sydney got her when she was a kitten after had been found in an alley with her tail bitten off. Tiger has been living with Sydney’s mom now that Sydney has moved in with her aunt, so she does not get to see her much. Her aunt and uncle have a Golden Lab named Dusty who is 4 years old. Dusty was a rescue found on the street right after having puppies, but they never found her puppies.
Sydney is an art major and is typically drawing or painting for school when she is outside of work. She also loves reading, and it is her goal to read all of Stephen King’s books/short stories. She also loves to indulge herself with video games, but unfortunately does not have much free time with school work and other things.
