Practice Manager

Beth has been in veterinary medicine for over 20 years and has known Dr. Fronefield for even longer! She has held a variety of positions throughout the clinic over the years including in the kennel, as a Veterinary Assistant and, for the majority of the time, as a Client Care Specialist. We are now proud to call her our Practice Manager. She is passionate about providing the highest quality of patient care while delivering exceptional client service and education. She has special interests in feline medicine, end of life care, and keeping her fantastic team happy!

Beth has too many cats! All of them are rescues. She currently has 6 under her care. There’s Waffles, Torchy (Bad Baby), Minou (she’s a total daddy’s girl!), Sunny, Bowie (a Harvey Foster-fail!) and Droopy (aka Flower) the calico.

Outside of work Beth, an avid Francophile and cat enthusiast (crazy cat lady), enjoys art projects, cooking, and listening to live music.

Lead Veterinary Technician

Jose has been with us since September 2013. He loves that every day at ABC is different. There are always new cases and new patients from 6-gram turtles to 190-pound Great Danes!

Jose has three pets, Logan a 9-year-old Lab mix who loves to eat, sleep, poop and not in that specific order. Marly a 7-year-old Lab/Shiba mix, she loves to eat, especially dads dinner! Qizmo, a 12-year-old Peek-a-Poo who sleeps all day (25hr/ 8 days a week) Warning: Never get him wet and never feed him after midnight!

Jose’s hobbies include watching sports – anything Houston! Watching Marvel and Star Wars movies and taking long walks on the beach with his significant other and his dogs.

David joined us in 2020 as an Animal Care Attendant and has quickly worked his way up to be the manager of our boarding department. He loves animals and they love him.

Outside of work, he enjoys getting together with friends and taking care of his father.

Jessica is another of our long-term technicians. She is our busy little bee, always gliding one from patient to the next with a calm grace that the clients and patients appreciate. She’s been with us since January 2005. Her professional interests include preventative care and surgery (she thinks it is pretty awesome all of the things that we are able to do here for our pets). Outside of ABC she loves being a Mom, gardening, trying different foods and anything Disney World related. Her family at home includes Ziggy (Pitbull), Lila (Jack-Russell Terrier), Una (Shih – Tzu), Atticus (Domestic Medium Hair), Suey, Rosie, Bindy, Bourke (Parakeets) and Zephyr (Indian Ring-Neck). She would like to one day become a nurse.

Maria has been with us since August 2006. She is one of our highly skilled technicians who has a wide variety of experience from different areas of animal medicine. Her professional interests include emergency and critical care, exotic animal medicine and attending various continuing education opportunities. She enjoys skydiving, paintball, running, going to museums and Science. At home, she has a chihuahua named Calista, a black cat named Dahlia, another black cat named Oreo, a third black cat named Batman :), and Nubs an African Grey with no legs. Maria is working toward being a well-versed technician in all areas of veterinary medicine.

She recently obtained her certification in Animal CPR: Advanced Life Support from the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.

Veterinary Technician

Jodi has been with ABC since July 2011. She loves helping a wide variety of types of animals, especially birds. She says it is a great feeling to see them leave in better health than when they arrived.

Jodi has 4 parrots, 1 cat, and a chameleon. Her birds are the reason she changed careers to work in veterinary medicine. Outside of work she enjoys gardening and reading mystery novels.

Gaby has been with us since February 2018 and loves being able to make a difference. To us, our pets are a small part of our entire world, but to them, we are their entire world. Being able to make their lives better like they make ours better is what makes this career so rewarding to her.

Gaby currently has 2 dogs and 3 goldfish. “Coco” her teacup chihuahua and “Kylie” hey beautiful “ginger” Boston Terrier.

Outside of work, Gaby spends time taking care of and helping her family. When she has down time, she loves to watch/listen to musicals, read fantasy books, do puzzles, and learn more about her career path.

Brenda is a licensed veterinary technician and joined our team in 2021. Since starting her career in 2020, Brenda loves interacting with a variety of exotic animals and learning new ways to care for them.

She shares her home with her family dog, bird; Aries and her cat, Pixar.

When she is not treating animals, Brenda enjoys exploring her creativity by making floral arrangements, exercising and listening to music.

Nubia has been at ABC since 2019. She loves to be around animals as it’s very comforting and relaxing.

At home, she has 4 dogs! 3 Shih Tzus and a Shih-poo.

When she’s not working, she enjoys reading, binge-watching TV shows, and playing video games.

Ann has been with ABC since October 2017 and has been in veterinary medicine for about 11 years! Ann’s favorite thing about her job is all of the great clients! She has 5 cats, a dog, some hamsters, and a Betta fish. Outside of work Ann enjoys playing outside with her daughter Alice, binge watching shows and loves, loves, loves cooking! (But not baking unless she wants to blow something up!)
Colleen Martin

Colleen joined the ABC team in September 2020. Her favorite part about being a Client Care Specialist is getting to see all the different animals that come into the clinic, especially the exotics!

Colleen shares her home with her kitten Finley, a pug named Winston, a pit-terrier mix named Baxter, and a terrier mix named Sugar. Outside of work, she enjoys hanging out with friends by the pool, watching live music shows, cooking dinner for her sons, and snuggling with her fur babies while watching movies and drinking wine.

Ashleigh has been working in veterinary medicine for 11 years. We are excited to be welcoming her back to our ABC family after a bit of a hiatus.

She has a 7 year old Saffie named Kayla who loves to cuddle, 3 year old orange tabby named Ryan and a 2 year old white, and grey mixed cat named Mo.

Theresa has worked in veterinary clinics for over 25 years and has been with ABC for 22 years. She loves being with the dogs and cats and doing what she can to help make their lives as best as she can.

Theresa has a Chihuahua named Pee Wee who is 18 years old and a cat named Pocket. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, crafts, and plants.

“I have a great family at home. My husband Ronnie; children Amber, Melisah and Justin; and my wonderful grandchildren Joseph, Hunter, and Dean. I also have a great family here at ABC. I am a very lucky person.”

Tori has been grooming for 6 years and has been with ABC for 3 years! She loves interacting with customers and putting out well-done grooms!

She has 2 dogs, Scarface & Carmellow and a cat named Miss Kitty. They have their own personalities and funny habits!

Outside of work, she loves to ride horses and train them, as well as watersports like boating and jet skiing!

Meagan started her veterinary medicine career in February 2019 with us. The part of her job she loves the most is getting to work with different animals.

At home, she has 5 ferrets (her favorite animal), 1 axolotl, 2 cats, and she’s also currently fostering a dog!

Outside of work, Meagan enjoys writing music!

Summer started her career in veterinary medicine with us 13 years ago. She loves getting to know and form relationships with people and their pets. She has a Pacman Frog named Goblin. Outside of work, she enjoys writing, reading, and video games.

Kristen has been in the veterinary industry for 13 years and at ABC since 2007. Her favorite part of the job is working with the animals, making them feel better, and watching them improve.

At home, she has 3 cats (Tornado, Hurricane, & Iris), 3 ferrets (Riddle, Bellatrix, & Regulus), and two lizards (Jesse & Willow).

Outside of work, Kristen is a special education teacher who enjoys gardening succulents and spending time with her pets.

Philip has been working with us since November 2021. What he loves most about his job is making all sorts of animal friends.

Philip has two dogs named Daisy and Duke, two cats named Mama and Gracie, and two hamsters named Hammy and Sammy.

He is a family man. He has a wife named Cassie, a daughter, Andi, and a son, Cade. Outside of work, he enjoys playing Minecraft, bike rides, going to the park and watching Netflix with them.
